Hopefully, he gets back to his serial killing ways.At the station, Logan lets it slip to Angela that Jim “nearly killed that drug dealer,” which Angela didn’t know since she was in New York at the time. Since the finale was not the most popular ending of a show ever, this may be a way to redeem what a lot of fans were less-than-enthused about back in 2013 when the show originally ended. Will that be what the new season about? Or will we see him go back to Miami and deal with the aftermath of his fake death? We’ll all have to wait and see. These two characters always brought some good comic relief to a very intense show, so it’d be nice to see them return. If there are flashbacks, we might also see more od Dexter’s father, Harry (played by James Remar), Dexter’s sister, Deb Morgan, died during the series finale (it aired 7 years ago, so spoilers are allowed, right?), so most likely Jennifer Carpenter isn’t coming back unless there are some flashbacks. Who else comes back to the show remains to be seen. If it does air on Showtime in the fall of 2021, we can probably expect to see it come to Netflix in the fall of 2022, about a year after the premiere.
